Easy with CA to UO, barefoot, then solo into Hendricks

Weather: mid 40s, almost misty

Comments:
Worked in the AM, then ran with CA mid-morning between clients. We ran "the new easy" - low to mid-8s pace - from my office to the UO, then ran barefoot. I felt a lot better than yesterday, but still a bit haggard.

After a couple miles, we parted ways. She wound up with 5.8 miles and minimal symptoms, which was good. (Worked a shitload on her right ribcage, and a bit on her obturator, which was wayyy less tender, last night!)

I continued my practice of running "easy hills" - doing some routine climbs on my off-workout days. Ran up and over Hendricks-PRE, then across into PRE trails, and back via Autzen Bridge. Felt tired in the latter half, but still averaged 7:30 overall - including most of the middle-latter miles at 7:00 or faster.

Ran back to work, then home quick to eat, then back to work.

PM: Cottage Grove "Icebreaker".

Fun first away meet. CA and I drove separately. The kids did the same last last week but switched: half ran the 1500m, half ran the 8 (no one in the 3k), with the same strategy of CHILL first half (or 2.75 laps), then CRUSH the final lap. Had some fun results:

- Hunter busted a 62 last lap in his 1500m (4:3x overall)
- Callan busted a 62 in his 800m (2:12 overall)
- Maddy came from behind and crushed her final lap (70-something) in her 8

All of them won their races, outright. John (our tempermental senior) *PR'd* in the 8, his main event with the same approach: 70-66, 2:16.

The twist of the night was a co-ed 4x4: two of each. I made equally weighted teams, and it was close: the Hunter team beat the Callan team by about 2s.

FUN meet. We also did some good team building by hosting a team meeting afterward, CA's idea (borne from U Florida).

Lastly, spent a TON of time on Sam, working on her mysterious calf-anlke issue, and she was at least able to run the 4x400.

FUN STUFF. :-)

Post-meet: CA and I went to Ax & Fiddle in the Grove, a really good pub restaurant.
