This was just one of the greatest runs I've had in a long time, and it was much needed. Was kind of excited to do a workout because I didn't do the one before the meet and only ran the 800 at the meet, so I felt like I hadn't worked that hard this week for the "most challenging week of the season." Also, was just in a good mood from a nice day hanging out with friends, so I think that got me off on the right track (pun intended:) ) Ran over to AU with Hailey, but we walked some because she had a weird cramp that wouldn't go away and was too painful to run through, so I stayed with her. I could already feel that it was going to be a good run because while normally I might be happy to stop during the warmup I just told myself that I'd do an extra pick up at the track to make up for it.

It was just perfect weather for a workout, and I was with a great group (Mia, Thea, Ellie, and Ilana). I did 5 400s, and I'm really proud of how I paced them because they were super consistent! They were 1:46, 1:51, 1:51, 1:52, 1:52. I don't think I've ever been that consistent during a workout! And guess what!!! I DIDN'T FEEL ANY SHIN PAIN THE ENTIRE WORKOUT!!!!!!!!! That literally hasn't happened for like a year. I'm so happy. They're a tiny bit sore writing this the next day, but no worse than usual. I'm just very happy with this week because I had a good race and workout and I haven't been in that much pain. Running life is looking up!
