Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Tired today but still grinding in the lab. Got some release and rest in the late afternoon though and eventually made it out the door to shake the legs out before the race. It was a pleasant evening actually, and I havent done a true night run in a long time. I definitely needed it. Felt real smooth and good actually. Went up through town then came back in the street since it was kinda hard to see the sidewalks and there were lots of kids walking around. On the way back, headed over to the track at Pratt and did an extra mile, 2 laps of striders, a 400 all out, then a recovery lap. The 400 was really fun I have not sprinted in so long and in the dark it feels really cool. Dropped a 70 and it felt so smooth. Finished up nice and easy back home.
Essentials: Stretch, roll
Good stretch and roll just trying to loosen things before tomorrow. I think 10k is going to seem a lot longer than it really is especially compared to a 5k, but it should be more fun to go further. This is always a real solid race and I am looking forward to it.
