Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Today was effective and relaxed I enjoyed it. I was sore from the game yesterday though and I needed to get in a run. Came home and chilled for a little bit but could tell that the rain was coming soon so I got out there. Didnt feel like going too long if the rain came, so I actually decided to stick with the track. Its been a while since I did any speed work and what not, so its always fun to throw in a little workout here and there. Started out with the warm up, then came around and jumped right into it. Did a minute on minute off for 2 miles, then finished up with some real speed. I was haulin on those sections, but I could definitely feel the soreness in my legs coming around. Still held up real well and felt strong and consistent. For the speed did 4,2,1. Times were 67, 33, 14. Easy jog back to the house afterwards.
Essentials: Stretch
Tried to stretch out. Feel even more sore afterwards, but the good kinda sore I would say. We will see about the game tomorrow but I like that softball workouts out different muscles than the run, it feels like a more complete workout.
