Utah Valley Marathon

Comments:
Very pleased with the race. Got out in a decent pace, the downhills were tricky, probably because the impact took out more than I was anticipating. At about mile 12 I was physically fatigued, only getting one hour of sleep caught up to me. However, this was mentally the toughest I have run a race. About mile 22 the body wanted to stop but my mind willed my legs to continue going. Although the final three splits were around 6:49 I did not walk and made it to the finish line in 2:46:18. Had I properly rested I believe I could have been under 2:40:00. Very pleased with the race, chalk it up to my fastest recorded marathon!!!
