June 13, 2017 (Morning)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: 60s at the bottom, like high 40s on top
Comments:
Saw some folks in the AM, then hauled to Hardesty for a late morning-noon up-down.
VERY WEIRD: I saw THREE different groups of folks going up Hardesty trail: two on the upswing, one as I was descending. All were in the first kilometer...zero evidence of any actual summit (the first two groups looked wholly unprepared, and with labored breathing, before it even got steep!). I don't ever say anything to folks; I don't want to insult them, and I figure they need to find out for themselves how goddamn hard it is!
I wanted to go slightly more quality, but instead I was hyper-form focused:
- back-arch tall
- forward
- BUTT BACK
- strong feet
I think I did a solid job. Didn't check splits and didn't try to push it, and it was a solid effort: 67:high.
I did try to be a bit quicker on the descent. It's pretty clear and was a bit damp, but...damn it, like 42:xx! So slow. I wish I knew why I sucked at downs so much!
