Hardesty Up/Down

July 19, 2017 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 70s, perfect

Comments:
Busy day, again. Worked in the AM, patient, worked more, then got going around 11 to the TH.

I was hoping the runs this week would be either "spirited" or simply more oxygen-rich, and thus faster. This hasn't been the case, and wasn't today. I did feel A LOT stronger, and it "didn't feel hard", so that was a plus.

Big form focus as usual

Forward into the hill
Tall (arched, a bit inconsistent - this is the hardest part)
Pelvis wiggle (lift-push)
Knees back
Pelvis left

Felt strong but easy going up and thought for sure I'd have <66, but I didn't: 66:4x. Still felt good, though. Just felt like I had stronger, longer strides.

After a nice break on top, I hit the descent pretty quick, again trying to take bigger strides to gobble more turf. That helped for a while, but I could tell by 2 miles to go, I was flagging - and just tired. Finished in 41:xx, a little disappointing.

Good run, but evidence that I'm TIRED and need to rest a bit.

Rest of the day:
- had some LEFT hip-groin soreness: some of it was lifting, but...some might be leftovers from the right low back...

- back to work and new coaching client chat (another one from MN)
- two more new patients
- straight to Coldfire to treat myself on good beer while I finished paperwork
- to Voodoo for an "Anniversa-fritter" -- two years and 7 months with CA today!
- went home, ate, waited for her to get home from the airport
- BEDTIME FRITTERS :-p
