PRE from yoga

Weather: 85, hot

Comments:
Parked at the yoga studio, by the old apt, then ran into PRE - old school. I fasted until like 3PM, then pounded a whole pouch of Trailbutter. Big mistake. Began to "feel sleepy" during my client and it only got worse from there.

Sluggish - but fairly good - run. Interesting observation:

When I'm tired and sloppy (so like...ALWAYS), my stride gets "unraveled": it's like this tall guy thing, where everything gets slow, lanky and twisty. When I watch a guy like Ben Blankenship (or even Wheating) run? They're wound-up like a powerful spring: tiny, powerful movements; small, quick legs, tiny, powerful arm swing.

That's what I thought about during this run: quick hip drive & pull, QUICK arm swing (something I gleaned from running with that fast chick on Saturday)...that's the key to speed-endurance!

Yoga was...HARD. Again, I chock it up to both race fatigue and allergies. Also...I'm SUCKING on my left side: more evidence that I'm slopping left again. -_-

Post-yoga beers with the Taylors (CA's out of town), then home. Ate and drank wayyy too late again... -_-
