UO barefoot (+impromptu 2-mile tempo) + weights

September 24, 2017 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 70, nice!

Comments:
Slept IN today. No Crater. It was just too cold.

Last night I taped my ankle, after it was painful and bothersome just sitting and walking. Felt WAY better today.

Ran from the house, then the normal loop to the UO. By mid-day it was packed with "kids", with UO starting tomorrow. Ran to the turf fields, which were busy, but good enough to run. Once there, we ran into one of our PHill grads (Maddy Fisher, the daughter of Randy, the principal and fellow track coach). Good kid.

We ran about 2.5 miles. Since I wanted to "test out" my stride -- after a pretty mellow Friday-Saturday -- I opened things up into a legit tempo effort, albeit at or sub threshold:

6:18
6:06

Felt really good. Also did a short stride per lap.

From there, we ran to check out a house for sale on Spring, then back to In Shape to lift weights, then home.

Big mileage weekend for CA! Like 65 for the week! Almost no symptoms. Really happy and proud of her.
