TRAN's Trapezoids - x6

December 4, 2017 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 40F, cold, but dry

Comments:
Not super-busy today, which was nice. Got a bunch of coaching done yesterday.

Ran the first mile or so with CA. She's doing a lot better, but still pain-sensitive in her peroneal tendon. I wish I'd recognized this, earlier, but we're on it now.

She noted, "I have to be mindful about not keeping my food rigid". That set of a little bell in my head...but not 'til the last mile.

Ankles were SUUUPER-stiff initially - possibly made worse by ankle taping, which I did after yesterday's "long run". Felt better after I did some achilles massage and stretch.

I almost bailed on the hill sprints, but glad I did 'em. Ran to the hill, did x4 short strides, then got after it.

FOCUS:
1-2: mostly tall, back arch and hip extension behind
3-4: pawback pull
5-6: "RIGHT BUTT BACK, PELVIS LEFT" - pretty clutch combo

What I didn't think about...'til the last mile: "relaxed, athletic, STRONG FOOT PUSH!!!"

I for sure have not being actually pushing off with my feet and ankles. AGAIN! Ugh. Big reason the heels and lower legs are still beat-up.

"Passive Stress" >>> "Active use" (stress-wise)

SPLITS:

76.4??? (54)
74.7 (58)
73.0 (57)
73.8 (56)
73.3 (56)
72.9 (54)

WOW, SLOW! Didn't look at the splits. Quite honestly, I can't believe they were that slow! WOW. Huh. Oh well. Work was done.

Maybe they were this slow BECAUSE I wasn't foot-pushing??? Hmm....

PM: good yoga class, much better (performance on my part) thank Saturday.

Some weird "creepy Eugene" - transient drama, post-class, but nothing a big deal.
