Fort River

December 9, 2017 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
We got our first snow of the season. Several inches came down throughout the day. I thought I was prepared and seasoned to get out there and run. Started out good, noticed it was a little slippery than usual. I kept the pace. The colder air was hindering me as well. Got around to the parking lot at Fort River, it was untouched and pristine also a lot more quiet over there. As I was admiring it, went down on some uneven sidewalk and bonked my left ankle pretty hard. Its been a while since I rolled it and I could feel this for sure. Had to walk a little, then coming back the entire was it was starting to get swollen and stiff. It hurt more than usual but I fought through it as much as I could. Guess Im not as tested as I thought for the winter running weather. This was humbling.

Essentials: Stretch

I tried to stretch as much as I could and keep the swelling down, but it was pretty sore. Probably going to be like that for a few days now. Ouch I had a good streak going there, but again I know how to deal with it. Other than that good to get out into the snow again.
