April 7, 2018 (Afternoon)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: WINDY but not bad
Comments:
Slept IN, and pretty well, until 845, then we hustled to get to yoga. That was OK, but I can tell I'm behind. Just stiff.
After that, we went to Wandering Goat for coffee (and for me, breakfast). I still had a lingering desire for that Pepsi Invitational Mile, so we went for a run to test the legs, launching from near our old apartment, into PRE trails.
I felt...OK, but pretty heavy. The weather was quickly turning. We had a decent run along PRE, but I could tell that was all I wanted. My upper back was SUPER stiff, but it helped when CA had me stop, and she pushed on my upper back and ribs.
No mile race. Instead we went home, and I worked on my irunfar column. Like always, I thought it'd be simple, but it turned into a bear. I worked on it til like five-fucking o'clock!
PM: Went to PHHS to see the "Mr Billie Pageant". Kyler and Hunter have been "immersed" (submerged) in this for nearly six months: practices, "outings", fundraisers, rehearsals. Well, it was quite a production! Over 3 hours! It was "good", but...a questionable investment, I guess. It certainly isn't the best way to help little kids (e.g. it's beneficiary, "The Children's Miracle Network"), but I think it's worth something.
CA and I snuck out just as the winner was crowned: NONE of the four track boys, unfortunately. Went home and soon went to bed.
Weird day. Not bad, but just to much "work".
