solo grind mile, 2x 4x300m

April 4, 2018 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: overcast, not too bad

Comments:
BUSY day. Two clients in the AM, then a new-patient session with Tom Etges, who's a pretty great MD in town. CA's been seeing him for the past year. He's really solid: no doubt the best listener of any medical professional (other than my former psychologist, Scott Pengelly). We talked for 90 minutes about my history, namely with the gut stuff. I'm happy to make inroads with him.

After that session I had precisely one hour to do something, so I did the track session I missed last week. It was...heavy. Slow. Sluggish.

Grind mile: 6:12
300s: 54-56 range. Ugh

Jogged back to work, cleaned up, then saw two more clients before track.

Track: fun, sunny day, but in a pretty major fog. We did foam rolling and yoga mobiilty in the middle of the football field, then talked 1500m strategy, with a fun demo of how to move up through the field.

After that, I had to bug out! CA finished up, going on a run with the kids and doing weights, while I hustled back to Eugene for the RunHub night.

Busy night at Runhub, chatting with a few needy folks, and a lot of familiar face -- it was almost exhausting, But we weren't done: at 6ish, I then drove to the Parks & Rec building for a "new gardener orientation", since CA put my name on an app for a second garden plot. We sat there, while I did paperwork on my computer, for a good 75 minutes. By the time that was done, I was spent.

Dinner was had at Fisherman's Market, which was solid. Good end to a lonnng day, but probably ate too much.

Poison oak from the weekend is worsening on my left shoulder. Must've gotten some on my hand and rubbed there.
