Went back to Banff in the morning to check out the last museums the Whyte Museum. Great artwork and I learned a lot about the history of the town. Very interesting. We tried to hike over to the famous Banff Springs Hotel afterwards. It took a while and we got to see Bow Falls, but we never made it to the actual hotel. I did get to see it peeking over the trees. In the afternoon, did a smaller, but still steep hike up into some lakes behind Canmore. There was no one on the "more difficult" part, which we did first. Got some good views of the city and the mountains. Lots of people up at the lakes though, as they took the "Easy" path. The lakes also had that amazing blue green color and they were so calm. I really liked it up there. Hike back down was easy, legs starting to be less sore and fried. We stopped off at the Cammore Nordic Center for fun on the way back. I was mega cool, especially after seeing the Olympics on TV this winter. I wish we had the opportunity to run around on the trails, they looked perfect for XC. Itching to run actually.
