Rainy Independence Day, not Race

Mangum, Dacoma, Karbach, W 18th, Mangum
No problem parking in the usual lot at Karbach, saw Adam and other setting up, couple of laps for a warmup, drills and stretch.

Wings of Freedom 5k
Battling with Carlos for the lead for most of the race, slick pavement made it tough to accelerate at the start, his shoe became untied so I thought I had a comfortable lead turning onto Dacoma, by the time I heard the footsteps, some teenager edged me at the line, second overall isn't bad, heard course was a tad short so the time is pretty much the same as Santo and No Label.

Rain still held off for the cooldown but started pouring shortly after I finished stretching, enjoyed a couple of Weekday Warriors and picked up my age group award: a nice handcrafted plate.
