August 26, 2018 (Afternoon)
Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Got dropped off on campus and caught the downhill home. started out with a loop around A lot, then down to the Plantations through the gardens. I kinda got lots in there and there were a bunch of people walking around looking at Flowers. Did a full salad bowl, then just rocketed down through campus, Cascadilla, and then Court and Cayuga. The hills in the plantations were tough I had to grind up them but it was good I felt prepared and comfortable. Once I left the plantations it was just cruzing down hill real easy, so the mileage didnt feel too strenuous. I was starting to struggle a little bit in the last half mile or so when I got to the commons. Still pace and stance was pretty solid. Campus was poppin again so that was interesting. Its always so refreshing to come back and run in the plantations and on campus. So lucky to have all this when growing up and first falling in love with running. Weather was hot in the later afternoon I kept with the breeze but waiting at stop light I could tell it was toasty.
Essentials: Stretch
Good stretch when I got back but it took me a while to cool down. Hot and humid. Legs might feel this the next few days. Not as much mileage as last week since I missed a day I think. Try to get back up on it as much as I can next week, even though I expect to be busy and have some late nights. Need to up the long runs on the weekend, that is key for sure.
