Intervals at IHS

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Stayed home all day working and I was struggling hard at the end of the day. It was hot out and no AC made me depleted. I didnt really go out at all so going for a run was a welcome break. Drove down to the high school since it was still kinda hot out. Started out with a Boynton mile then over to the track. As I was warming up, the football team was finishing practice so I got the track all to myself. Jumped right into it, doing intervals today. Set the timer to 3 minute loops. Just wanted to feel strong not too focused on the pace. First one was tough but then I got into it. did 6 x 400. First 200 felt so smooth then I struggled to finish on the straight away. Even though I feel so comfortable on that track, had some of my best workouts ever there. It came back on the last few reps felt really strong. Splits were:

86, 85, 82, 82, 81, 75

I was gassed after the last one. Did a shorter Boynton mile to cool down then made my way to the rock.

Essentials: Stretch

Stretched over at the rock like the good old days. No one was around I was expecting practice to start. It was cool to just chill there and stretch out after all these years. Legs feeling beat, especially quads and hammies. They feel worked. Get a few days rest and some time to work them out. Its gonna be hot the next few days, need to focus on some solid mileage near the weekend to keep the fitness up.
