Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Just chillin today and regrouping myself. It was kinda toasty and sunny, not what I expect for the fall weather. Wanted to get the mileage in though, so I stuck around and went a little later. Mapped out a little route kinda like the long run up in Harkness, but going down a little further on the bike path to the KC trail, which I have never actually ran before. Generally the same mileage. Started out going to the path by Amherst College, going down past the 9 mile mark then cutting onto the trail. The trail is way easier to run and its short, and pops out on the road in the subdivision back there. I didnt realize how massive those houses where. They were really really nice! I was feeling the heat there so I started to slow the pace a little, and I didnt really know my way around. Came out near Rolling green then came back on Harkness but this time going up the hill. It was tough but I took my time. Coming back on Pelham, felt solid. Looked at my watch, and I was almost at 1hr, which didnt make sense considering I mapped out 7.5... Didnt think I was going that slow but I tried to push it in anyways. Coming up the hill I though would be hard but I did it fine. Legs were definitely most beat up today. Physically I felt fine and in control. They were pretty sore last night and this morning actually.
Essentials: Stretch
Good stretch when I got back, mostly felt nice to stop. It had cooled down too, I appreciated that for sure. When I got back upstairs, remapped it and realized my inital route had me going through the division before Harkness. Remapping it put me at 8.5, which makes more sense. Glad I made it the whole way, felt good too. Impressive that I got up to a run thats 1+ hr. Solid route in the books too.
