January 17, 2019 (Night)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: The Quadfecta: dark, rain, wind, cold
Comments:
Had a good, but super-busy day at work:
* 4 patients
* acupuncture, then hyperbaric
* 3.25 clients (Maddy checked in for a 15min run session)
Maddy is South Eugene's fastest runners, and (soon-to-be), I hope, one of my major success stories. She's super-crazy-fast, but over-strides like crazy. It's been tough to change her stride, and get buy in, but it's finally working! SO great.
Tonight: I was committed to getting in some miles. I barely had any adequate clothes, so I ran without a winter hat (and used my earbuds as relative shield), and had to wear my blue puff!
It was dark, cold, hard rain...and maybe the windiest I've run in, in Eugene. The QUADfecta! AND I had no light! But I ran anyway...and I had a GREAT RUN.
Ran through Amazon, then down to Rexius and did the whole loop. The parts they've worked on are actually solid now, but it was wet.
Listened to Mumford and Sons, which was perfect: some chill, some upbeat.
Felt GREAT. Posture and hips on point, and in the second half rolled some pretty "easy" low 7s miles.
LOVE that running is starting to feel good again!
