No watches workout

January 21, 2019 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Tom told us to take off our watches for the workout. He didn't even really time us. It was interesting. We had to pace completely off of feel. My group was me, Nathan, and Oscar.

The workout was 800, 2x600, 3x400, and 4x200. Each rep had a recovery equal to its length. Pacing was good--Tom told us not to overdo it, but we definitely hit that sweet spot where we weren't going crazy but really felt like we were working hard.

I felt really good throughout, felt strong, controlled, and comfortable. The recoveries did feel a bit long for most of them. Anyways, my right calf, just on the side on the lower portion, feels strained. Worse than it felt yesterday. I'm gonna keep running on it. Taking care of it. I don't know how it happened but it's hopefully just one of those things that'll work itself out.
