Austin, TX - treadmill run + quick weight session

Comments:
Once we got to Austin, I was feeling an itch to do something after sitting around all day. We had a solid hour to kill, and our hotel was super-nice, so I went to the workout room and hopped on the treadmill. Did 2.5 miles progressively quicker on the treadmill (down to 7:00 pace). Ankle was a little iffy, but it felt good to get things moving. After that I did a rapid lift of:

* cut-down pyramid (10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1-10) of push-up and squats with a 45lb dumbbell, and like zero rest in between
* two sets of bicep curls and bent rows

Felt good and energized. Just before I started (but independent of my motivation), CA texted that Kaci won Black Canyon. That motivated me a little bit more. Once again, the Tyler Green mantra loomed large: “If not NOW, WHEN?” I have to keep chipping away.

Post-run:
* Mom and Miles met us at the hotel. Their visit went really well.
* we headed to dt Austin (through more shit traffic) and into some legit Austin Saturday night chaos! Wow, so busy downtown. The restaurant we were interested in had a *2.5 hour wait!*, so we had to scramble to eat some random dive bar food (which was solid)
* listened to my “cousin” (mostly, sort of) and his rock cover band play at the Blind Pig. They’re really good.
* left at 9:45 and was in bed by 10:45.
