February 21, 2019 (Morning)
Exercise Type: Walk
Weather: 50 in town; high 30s at the Gorge
Comments:
Picked up Dan under beautiful blue skies in PDX. We thought about skiing, but settled on a Gorge hike/run.
Unfortunately, it had a fair amount of snow, even down low. Within about 250 vertical feet, it was legit, deep snow, with sketchy footing. We soldiered on and made it up to a high lookout, in about a foot of snow!
Fun, slow, easy hike. The sunny afternoon made up for the snow.
Post-hike:
* drove back to PDX
* had a great dinner at Screen Door in East Portland
* checked into our Beaverton hotel for our PNF class tomorrow
