Gimpl Hill Bike

March 20, 2019 (Night)

Exercise Type: Bike

Weather: high of 70s - but 60s during sunset ride

Comments:
Busy but not busy day:

* BNI meeting (at which I locked my keys in the van)

* PT sessions: both Callie and I

Insightful session: within about 90 seconds (or less), Mike theorized that my hip pain was coming from my back! Shockingly, I actually had some nerve weakness in my left hip and leg. While he didn’t abolish the pain, it felt a lot better after his work (and the mid-back segments associated with anterior thigh – L3 and 4 – were super-sore!

After PT:
* home to eat and work on taxes. Ugh, brutal. Can’t put off accounting again like this

* went to work to see two patients, but the first one no-showed

* had a great session with my last client (her ankle pain was nerve pain, as well)

PM: came home and got on the bike before it got dark. 70s in Eugene, again, today, but it was already cooling off by the time I got out at 6:30. I’ve been really enjoying – and riding faster on – the bike the past two weeks, so today – with daylight waning – I figured I should grind this route.

Did the Gimpl loop, which is 20 miles, but about the same climbing. It normally takes about 80 minutes. CRUSHED IT today, in 68! Felt GOOD (not too tough!)

Hip felt fine on the ride and wasn’t too stiff or sore at any point in the day: only mildly after sitting for a while.
