This is gonna be a rant, sorry. I was planning on doing a "long run" (really a long aquajog) and beating my aqua jogging record with Sophia, but she was late and then forgot her ID so I had to do the whole thing alone which was very sad and not very fun. But I did it. Got a bit grumpy and negative doing something boring for so long alone, but tried to use Matt's racing strategy, which really works for lots of areas of life I'm finding, and think about people who make me happy or good moments from my these four years of being on the team. Also tried to plan my senior paper, but my mind just kept wandering and being grumpy. I got progressively more annoyed by the hoards of humanity who seem to forget common rules of social courtesy at Wilson pool. I was splashed in the face multiple times and two people almost ran into me swimming on the wrong side of the lane. Also, the lifeguards closed the baby pool at one point, so a bunch of parents brought their toddlers into the aqua jogging lane and I wanted to be like THIS IS ACTUALLY EXERCISE AND THIS LANE IS NOT FOR YOUR CHILDREN TO SPLASH AROUND IN LIFE VESTS IN. IF YOU TAKE UP 20 FEET ON EACH END THERE IS NOT MUCH ROOM FOR ME TO DO LAPS. I usually like kids, I promise. I learned that I do not do well having that much time alone doing something I'm not really enjoying.
