Spring Valley

This 7.5 mile looop is probably going to be my bread and butter this summer. No matter which way you run it, it's super hilly but also has some good recovery downhills and a couple of water fountains. I went in "reverse" today and went up the Loughboro hill from Sibley hospital all the way to AU. Mass Ave back once you get down to the CCT entrance is also super tough all the way until Walhonding. That was probably the hardest since it was at the end. And of course, the Wissioming hill at the end is killer. I thought that I was going to regret going out for a run shortly after 4pm, but I didn't mind the heat and sun for some reason. I feel like this week some weight was lifted off my shoulders mentally and I just feel great–even a hot and hilly run feels amazing. Afterwards, my mom lead me in this 10 minute core thing she likes to do which was kinda hard and left me feeling really hungry for some reason. This was probably my favorite run of these two weeks so far. Excited to run with Simonson tomorrow.
