Exercise Type: Run
Weather: 70, nice
Comments:
Up early. No run in Seattle; got a coffee (amazing "oat milk latte" at Cherry Street Coffee), then headed south. I drove for an hour, then CA drove so I could work/study.
Stopped in PDX for breakfast, then hammered home so I could work.
Busy day, but good: 5 patients in a row from 1-6, then a run. I was so tired and stiff after the drive that I contemplated taking a day off, but I didn't. Good decision.
CA ran from home and met me at Tugman for a Baldy session. Her plan was to maybe do the warm up. This then turned into hiking two...then three hills!
I ran solo. Felt good. Too good, as it turns out. Felt strong on the ups, so-so on the downs...and overall ran fast - maybe a bit too fast for my own good:
10:07 - 7:33
10:13 - 7:27
10:18 (+halfway down + halfway up!) - 7:28
As I was finishing, CA was going up the latter half to the top, so I reluctantly turned around and shuffled to the top to meet her, then we ran down, together.
I was a little apprehensive for the grind mile, but I got after it, solo. REALLY worked on hip hinge and pawback. Kept the breathing controlled, and ran fast:
5:41!
Good day!
Rest of the day:
* stretched, while watching "Roadhouse"
* late dinner (didn't finish 'til 10)
