July 2, 2019 (Morning)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: overcast with a glimmer of sun, 60F, humid
Comments:
Slept CRAPPY last night, mostly because CA did: she woke me up multiple times. Thankfully we "slept in" 'til 6:30. Didn't start running til 7:30.
Ran Skinner hills / "TRAN's Trapezoids": my first set of these in a really long time. I nearly bagged the whole thing, just because of how tired I was, but decided to go, and just run CA's pace.
They were solid paces, and were perfect:
79
83
81
79
77
75
She wasn't looking at her watch, so the first few were rather pedestrian. All descents were about 40s (on the new and improved gravel -rather than mud- descent trail), and the 10-second flat sprints felt strong.
Going a bit slower helped with the form focus, which - essentially - is 'EVERYTHING BEHIND':
* hip hinge
* pawback
* foot push
* hip extension
* arm swing
Felt solid. Not too tough.
Ankles stiff, left more than right, which is causing some lateral striking.
