PRE + Matt's house + inner PRE + to yoga

Busy but good day. Slept in, since I definitely needed it. "Only" four patients, then CA came by and I "studied"/practiced on her. Finished coaching then planned to run before yoga, again.

On a whim, I texted Matt Thornton about running some miles, and surprisingly, he was game. Parked the van at yoga, downtown, then ran the 3.5 miles through PRE to his house (my old house, ten years ago) in Springfield.

Form-focused again, mostly to mitigate any additional stressors: posture, pawback, strong feet. I didn't feel as "light" as I did on Saturday...mostly because I was still tired from Sunday! BUT I didn't feel half-bad...and my ankles were pretty "normal" -- no extraordinary stiffness, that's been typical of long/fast runs.

Got to a block away from Matt's house and he was out waiting for me, so we got after it. I slowed down a bit, and we had a good catch-up chat. Time flies: seemed like just yesterday we were working on his raised beds, but that was Memorial Day weekend.

We did the big inner loop in PRE, then I hustled back to yoga. Felt pretty darn tired - and my lower neck was sore - but I was happy to get a solid nine miler!

Yoga: OK. Sub teacher! (I wish I'd remembered). Good post-SOB 100K social with Mike and David.
