July 30, 2019 (Morning)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: overcast but prety warm/humid
Comments:
Slept in, studied with Emily for about 90 minutes, then ran before my afternoon of clients.
Felt weird in the AM - like hungover. Then, felt overall low energy and sluggish on the run. In retrospect, it's two things:
1. the hyperbaric treatment (always makes me feel weird for a day)
2. SMOKE. It's not acute in Eugene - the big particulate that everyone cares about ("PM 2.5") isn't high, but the FINE SHIT? We're inundated with it. You get a few hundred feet up and look out...just WHITE. WHITE HAZE.
This is what happened last week. The chocolate didn't help, but the worsening air is what is causing the histamine jack. I need to keep tabs on it...but be careful not to over-do Allegra.
Felt sluggish, but the splits/paces were pretty good. Left hip was more sore, so I didn't do stride. Right ankle was fine; left distal achilles was tight.
Of note: had a 4mm FULL insert in the left shoe. First time ever (likely a factor in the hip soreness).
Rest of the day:
* 4 patients and a coaching chat with a new prospective client (he's fast! 2:24 debut marathon at CIM, but he's injury-prone)
* home, made dinner and CA came home!
* did some work/study on her
