Comments:
Felt great during the first mile, and pushed hard at the beginning of the second. Once I caught up to Rod though, I decelerated on that gravel at the top of the hill and then picked myself back up by Drinker and kicked in strong. Went out maybe kinda hard–like 5:25 (didn't hear a two mile split)–but was aiming for more like 5:30. Not a huge deal or anything. Just feel like I could have gone under 17 if I ran a little more evenly. In the end, I ran 12 seconds faster than last year and the course definitely felt slower to people so I'm happy about that. Progress. Finished off with a Lady with Whamz and Dice.
