Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
After my epiphany this weekend, I decided to run a bit on the treadmill to make sure I was running efficiently.
My primary concern was that I was over-striding, but it turns out:
I'm narrow (crossover) landing, BADLY
This is what's causing the (perception) of lateral striking (they're chicken-egg) AND it's likely causing:
* the nasty lateral lower leg soreness
* the crazy stiff ankles
* the nerve tension (especially the left lower leg)
Running at InShape with both a front and side mirror was clutch. Hips (/Salazar Stride) was pretty solid. But it was tough to not cross-over!!
Ran two miles, and felt pretty good.
Lifted well afterward, then ran the 0.8 miles home. Felt pretty good!
I'm a teeny bit encouraged...but it means I'll need to do more confirmatory runs on the 'mill.
