Tamarack Pool - Shallow water pool running

February 6, 2020 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Other

Comments:
The ankle felt singificantly (if not amazingly) better today. Walking around at work - no brace, only a strip of old tape - I felt nothing. Not only that, it felt bonafide flexible!

My neck felt better, but pretty stiff from the PT work last night. Mid-back still sucks. At this point, I think it's C5-6 referral.

BUT, I DO think there's a strong neuro connection between the neck irritation and ankle irritation. It felt so much better today after the neck work!

So after working 7-1:30 I saw that the Tamarack Pool - a special therapy pool of salt water and mega-heated (like 92F!) - had open activity from 2-3, so I went.

Did 30 minutes and mostly felt great. Did:
* 70% shallow jog
* 5% swim (when I got to the deeper end)
* 10% bounding in place (high knee drive jumps, at 5' depth)
* 5% stretching

Pool was pretty fun, water felt good...nice way to spend the early afternoon.

Rest of the day: lazy:
* home to eat
* read/napped for an hour
* ate/hungout/watched stuff with CA

I wish I could say the ankle was pain-free. But post-pool I took the tape off and spent the rest of the day with it "bare". It got stiff. Not terribly, but not great. The achilles/bursa felt particularly sore/stiff....but not super-sensitive. So...maybe it's feeling more healed.
