April 4, 2020 (Morning)
Exercise Type: Bike
Weather: mid 40s, drizzle, cold, shitty
Comments:
Slept in, then - per usual - "faffed around" til CA dragged us out the door, into freezing drizzle, to bike. I was not looking forward to it; I was tired and cold.
But rather than grind the same hill loop, we tried a flat route: a west Eugene loop I used to do, BITD.
It was...OK. Just wet and cold, but not that hard. Only three hills:
1. Up to Storey (like a mile or less from the house), then bombed down, backward on the Gimple route, to the bike path.
Hopped on the Fern Ridge bike path to the end, kn far west Eugene, then back via Barger and Maxwell:
#2: the Maxwell rail line/NW Expressway overpass.
Then, allll the way back to the river path. Took the river path into downtown.
#3: Crest Dr from Willamette.
Solid route. Really damn cold, though.
Rest of the day:
* delicious brunch
* talked to my mom
* matinee of GoT
* afternoon walk: ankle sore and NOT accustomed to medial foot loading
* evening chats with mom, BGD
* dinner, then more GoT...
