April 19, 2020 (Morning)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: cool, but clounds-to-sun
Comments:
Slept pretty well. Got up and did coaching, worked on CA (before her LR), then worked on myself before going on a short run.
My ankle felt crappy yesterday. I almost didn't run. But I worked on myself, and then was intent on running both short and easy, just trying to get a rhythm and strength/mobility to my running.
Figured out a new stretch: rotation where you lay prone, first, roll onto an (L) arm and "rotate open" with your trunk. Then, you extend your (R) leg behind you. It's trunk rotation, but with emphasis on upper trunk and scapula! Just what I needed - made the alt arm-leg reaches wayyy easier with L UE/R LE pattern.
Ran super-easy from the house, down to Hilyard, around Tugman, then to Fox Hollow and back via Rexius and 31st. Felt pretty good. Not amazing, but way better. Took a couple very short walk breaks.
Rest of the day:
* lifted weights (good session w/CA)
* brunch feast
* more work
