slow, sore west PRE

May 2, 2020 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: rainy, crappy

Comments:
Slept in for a change, then got up, vacuumed, and did the customary hour of mobility work to try to have a decent run.

Didn't really work.

Felt sore and painful. At this point, there are two types of runs:

1. The Good Kind: where I feel mildly sore early, then very mildly sore the rest of the run.

2. The Less-Good Kind: where I feel moderate+ soreness...and it never improves, really.

This was a #2 day, which usually follows a longer or faster day, at this point. (It also didn't help that I didn't roll out last night).

Jogged SLOW with CA on the usual PRE loop, but I turned back at the BMX park. Despite the soreness, the stride felt pretty good and I worked hard to land whole (medial foot), push-off with the medial arch, wide.

Rest of the day:
* home for a solid strength routine
* brunch
* some work (got a gait analysis done, and worked on promoting Randy's "concert" at our house next week)

Ate cheese in my omelette...and had some pastries with goat butter in them today. Big experiment to see how I do with dairy.

Of note: I'm doing, overall, a LOT better with overall "health" - ever since we patched the drywall in the laundry room and properly vented the dryer. Really hoping my overall health will turn a corner...
