June 7, 2020 (Afternoon)
Exercise Type: Bike
Weather: 60, windy
Comments:
Slept in, had a nice, sunny morning at Nottingham CG, then (foolishly) drove back to Timberline. Made it 80% up the shoulder of Meadows and the weather went from perfect, to crap. It was heavy (wet) snowing at the drive up Timberline, so...we turned back!
Drove all the way to Hood River. We both felt a little sluggish, but we hopped on the bikes in downtown and did "The Fruit Loop": taking OR 281, a country road, south about 18 miles(!) to Parkdale, then back on the (busier) OR 35.
It was...OK. CA was struggling a bit, so the ride was pretty easy and slow. LOTS of climbing that we forgot about (at least 2k on the loop, most on the way out and uphill toward Hood). Nice Hood views once we got close to Parkdale.
WINDY. Both head and cross-wind.
Nice, fun stop for coffee and cookies at the "Blue Canoe", then finished the ride.
Rest of the day:
* too windy to cook, so we got MORE coffees and breakfast sandwiches at Kickstand
* drove home!
* no weights in the PM - too long of a day
