so i have been dreading and putting off this tempo for like a week. coach said i should tempo at 5:50 pace, and i really did not think i could do that. so today i decided to start out at 3, even though i should be doing 4 miles. i did it on the treadmill, which wasn't as boring as i thought it would be. the first mile was 6:05, the second was 6:00, and the last was 5:50 or maybe a bit faster. Anyways, i felt really good! It was definitely hard, but i was by no means dying or anything--and i really think i could have done another 5:50ish mile. so im pretty happy with this workout. now hills in a few days....i have no idea where im going to find a 2-3 minute hill around here, its soo flat.
