Bellingham - Lake Padden "PT exercises" and RUN!

July 17, 2020 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: mid 60s, fine

Comments:
Slept in, then drove from the horse parking lot to the main lot. After bathroom breaks...there was thought of us going to Oyster Dome to hike. But pressure was on (me, at least) to get out of town to get a campsite up in the North Cascades.

What we did:

* drove into town to do our grocery shopping. Saw CFMT alum Emily (again!) at the co-op
* drove back to Lake Padden. CA is back running but has a whole routine, including:

- strength work (step-ups/downs)
- hops (lateral, single leg; ups and downs)
- agility (side steps)

I decided to do ALL of them with her: my first big load of hopping.

THEN, because I was feeling so good...I walked a mile along Lake Padden (eastbound, flat)...then ran back!

The run felt pretty darn good! Fairly minimal symptoms...and not a ton, afterward.

Encouraging...but means nothing 'til tomorrow.

Rest of the day:
* showered at Padden
* drove east
* had quick snack stop, then drove to the east side
* after some rambling and some long, sketchy dirt road ridge driving...found an amazing camp site (Meadow CG) atop Harts Pass. Amazingly, Bert and Courtney found us up there!

Fun day. Was relieve to find a good CG, and such a beautiful spot!
