Biked between my 8 and 10. Grinded a little bit, since some (seemingly) hot-shot dickweek - halfway up the long Fox Hollow in-town climb - BLASTS past me...then doesn't keep the speed up. So I keep grinding - not particularly speeding up - and I. begin to reel him in again!

Then, just as we crest the climb, he pulls to the side of the road to "check his bike". (Ruh-really bruh?)

That kept me grinding a little bit more than usual. Felt pretty good today.

Productive, fun day at work.

PM: was going to go to Coldfire for happy hour beers w/CA but the UP Van got a flat tire! I'd seen a "tire pressure" light on Wednesday, but saw nothing out of the ordinary when I looked at the tires. But when I drove away from work, I felt I was riding on a flat. That was enough (as it turns out) to wreck the tire.

On top of that, we couldn't access the spare (as we blocked the "drawbridge access" with the van floor). So we had to call AAA and get it towed. Thank God Billy convinced me to get "tire insurance" on these two month old, high-end tires!

The consolation was getting pretty good beers at Bier Stein while we waited for the tow.
