Arbutus Greenway

December 27, 2020 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Rainy today. I opted for a morning long run since I didnt have much going on and its still quiet with the holidays. Went east today, straight down 16th to Arbutus greenway then back on 33rd. A solid loop through the neighborhoods. A really great view of the city as you come down the hill on 16th. Hill coming back was tough but I pushed through. The Greenway is fantastic, lots of people out walking and running on it today. It takes a while to get there but once your on it, straight shot for miles. Foot was a bit tender today, this was a good week of mileage. Get some ice on it and work on my form from here. The rain and temp was perfect for a run, felt like a good old morning for some muddy XC. At Chaldecott park, I did a few striders on the grass. That rounded it up to 6.5 for sure. Again, decent long run pace today for first week back. I would love to get back into great shape and this is the place to do it.

Essentials: Stretch

Mild stretching, I was tired and thirsty when I got back. Legs, hammier kinda sore, and foot needs some ice. The chill from the wet air is good on my legs though, reduced cramping and soreness. Still have yet to encounter any pants weather, which is fine by me. I have run in my fair share of blizzards.
