Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Nice AM long run. I was tired this morning for sure but the weather was a little damp and cloudy, perfectly comfortable running weather. Went out 20th all the way to Arbutus then went north to the end of the path, then turned around and came back to 16th. Besides the stop lights and patches of pavement, its a terrific path to run on and it almost gets you all the way to the bridges to downtown. I think a good goal is to get mileage up to go across or loop around Granville Island (have to make your way on city streets from there). Lots of people out on the trail this morning too. Coming back was tough, the hill is in the worst spot and its a steep climb back up in the last mile or so. I thought I held my pace fine up until that point. Somehow even split the whole thing, was not expecting that.
Essentials: Stretch
Ok stretch when I got back. Knee was real tender starting out but I think it warmed up a little bit, then was fine even with the sidewalks. Calves definitely still sore, need to roll those out later. Definitely should get a shake out in during the week or my legs might lock up. Biking and running is not the same in this case.
