January 24, 2021 (Morning)
Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Well, the snow did not pan out. It was just sleet out in the morning, not even a dusting on the ground. I don't think it ever went below freezing this far west (I am sure they got snow further inland). Anyways, very familiar running weather for me at least. Made it work with shorts, could have used gloves though. Only the battle hardened were out today, not a lot of people. Nice circuit down Crown to 37th, all the way across into Kerrisdale then back up Arbutus Greenway to 20th. Forgot how hilly it is on the way back, especially the last mile. My legs were cold and tired at that point despite the great pace I held throughout the rest of the run. Still, quite refreshing to give them that little challenge. Working up to a Sunday long run is certainly manageable with my new work schedule. Just what I wanted.
Essentials: Stretch
Easy stretch when I got back. Legs are sore, took the brunt today and accumulated from all the walking yesterday. Also took a while for my hands and toes to warm up again. They were pretty cold could have used gloves. After such a nice sunny day (and week for that) we are back to the grey gloom for a while lets see how commuting goes, but that's the way it is around here.
