Getting it in at the second day of the CHESS workshop. It was tough to be on Zoom all day so I am glad I was scheduled in the morning. Talk went really smooth, just like I prepared and I felt good about it. Still do not like the Zoom format though cause I cant tell if any of my jokes hit. Still people said it was good and it was nice to see some familiar faces in the crowd. I still equate conferences to meets, where you prepare all season, taper as you prep your slides, usually travel to the event with your team and then go in there and give it all you got to have a good performance. Looking forward to getting that back into my routine. By the time workshop was over, it was just down pouring out. Glad I ran errands in Kits yesterday! I hung around until later because I really wanted to get out and do something and break in my new shoes. Found a break and went for a quick jont. Shoes felt good but unusual. There is much more heel support, so it feels like I am slipping even though I think its just because the drop is higher and I am not used it it. The Tempos are much flatter with their lightness. It will take a while to get used to the different clunkier fit but I think its better for my lower legs in the long run since I want to extend mileage.

Essentials: Stretch, roll

Easy stretch and a bit of rolling when I got back. Calves feel fine actually, legs are good. I wasn't too soaked either. Looks like a lot more rain next few days hope I can squeeze in, or just take it because this is Vancouver.
