Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Not as toasty and moist today. Good for a long run. I was looking to extend, thought I would try my luck to Burrard St. Bridge. Always been a goal of mine to run downtown, it was just a little too far. Started out strong down 20th. Taking pace easy. Started to notice some smokey scents, apparently the wildfire smoke is starting to creep into the area. Didnt impact me too much, just tried to stick to my pace. Got to the bridge and was feeling good so I went over, cut across the street, then rolled on back. Hit the other side in just over 30 mins. I think that's pretty cool. Came back through Kits and Blenheim. Pace started to slow as all the pavement was adding up on my legs. The last hill was tough as well but I just charged up. Wasn't too thirsty or dehydrated while out running, I think I managed the distance well, could tell again I lack some core strength but it feels good to get this far out and complete one of my goals.
Essentials: Stretch
Legs pretty burnt as I came back in. Took some time to rehydrate and walk it out then stretched out on the street. Mostly took the time to rest and recover legs under me. Probably will be sore this is farthest I have gone in a while, but I have been working up to it.
