December 26, 2021 (Morning)
Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Still snowing last night and it was actually very picturesque. Added a few inches on the ground and by the time I got out, it was well below freezing. Looks like it will stick around a bit. Side roads were snowy but enough traffic on main roads it was clear. Ran down 16th to False Creek, running down the street when I could especially if sidewalks were untreated. Didnt see a lot of other runners out. I really felt in my element today. Haven't seen snow like this in a while when I think about it. Came back on 1st and then over to Alma to see if any kids were out sledding on the hill. Going up Alma was tough, legs felt beat at that point. However, held up much better than yesterday and had to work the stability on the snow almost the entire time. Good extra workout. Toes didnt get as cold as they did yesterday.
Essentials: Stretch, roll
Inside to warm up felt good. Legs feel sore for sure. Haven't gotten this long in past few weeks. Add in the snow and that some positive mileage. Fresh snowy air and the trees, smelled like a Yankee Candle outside. Nice COVID test protocol there.
