Fairfield - park lap jog

January 23, 2022 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 60, twilight

Comments:
Good day, despite another short night's sleep!

The day:
* picked up Juliet then parked/walked to class
* AM class (more hanging, more touch - including a rather hilariously awkward chest-to-chest "instability test" technique, with me, bare-chested, and her in this teeny (but well-defined) red sports bra.... ughhhhhhh...)
* lunch walk with Aneta and Jules to the waterfront
* quick exit: Aneta was in a hurry to get to the airport.

Goodbyes were in the parking garage. Quick. Too quick.

But that was OK. It was an amazing day.

Rest of the day:
* drove to Fairfield to meet BGD to run!
* jammed to an '80s playlist I formed from our tunes last night.

Run felt...stiff! Not sure why my ankles are so bad again, but they were.

Even worse when BGD showed up, as (due to his back stiffness - old man!) we were running quite slow the first two 1+-mile laps.

I told him the story. He didn't know (somehow skipping the ONE page that announced the separation). It was surreal - and weird, and seemingly shallow and trite - to explain to him:

* my connection to Callie as a loving partner has dissolved

and now

* I'm "suddenly" in love with a 24-year old woman who was a student in our clinic

Sounds terrible and stupid. But there's more than that. And a lot more depth.

We ran, then got some food at a brewpub.

After that, I drove home. More jams.

Just as I was getting back, Jules - whose plane landed in ABQ - sent another song my way. AND, on the plane ride...she read the stories!

I told her that, because of Zack, I would be reverting to "professional" contact: no texts, no IG DMs...only emails with professional content.

So...she didn't say much (per usual). But the last sentence: "...That last one..."

Great day. Amazing weekend.
