Vancouver Tour

April 29, 2022 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Walk

Comments:
Good thing I can take advantage of my flexibility. Thea decided to actually come up to Vancouver today, early in the morning, so I flipped and took the day off of lab completely. It was a welcome surprise as I had been grinding hard at home and since I got back and actually have a lot on my mind, so today I felt like I really could just release it. We had an action packed day and ended up walking a lot. Checked a lot of stuff of my bucket list too: Got to Breka and Jericho, walked some seawall and trails in Stanley Park checking out city architecture and the waterfronts. Granville Island for lunch and donuts, then walked around Queen Elizabeth Park, followed by a tour hike through Pacific Spirits just to show her how cool it is in there. I really managed my foot quite well it seems. It still feel sore and running would not be a good idea, but this got us outside and it ended up being a very nice day where the rain held off and there was peaking in sunshine. It was a lot day though, and we ended at Kits beach which was popping off around sunset (so cool means summer is on its way) and at Colony, where we somehow collected a parking ticket on one of the only times I have taken a car around Vancouver. I didnt think too much specifically about interviews or work today, just had chances to catch up, reminisce and reflect on what we are all about these days. This was a great mental break for me and I always love enjoying the city, especially with friends that I just dont get to see often anymore. Hit me how long I have been here, isolated and disconnected from Case peeps. Everyone is growing up so fast, changing. But that's just fine cause that's the way it works.
