Anvil Mtn hike + shuffle down

July 3, 2022 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: mostly sunny, decent

Comments:
After that crappy nap, I was intent to snap out of it and go on an "expedition".

Anvil Mountain is the peak/ridge immediately northwest of my house. And on the west side is a flag pole. Thought it'd be cool to climb that and then roll along the ridge. Howie Stern gave me the general route and said it was cool.

Around 4pm I took off. Felt pretty tired at first, then came around on the very steep hike up to Anvil. Really cool views up there!

Once up there I rode the ridgeline (a moderate down, some cruiser, than an up) west, to the flagpole. After taking in the view and pics, I rolled north on the ridge, but it just kept climbing, so I headed back.

Tiptoed down the ridge, then took the long way around for some flatter running to loosen up the legs.

Doing the "Blue Ribbon 10K" tomorrow! (This isn't the greatest "shake-out"). 2k' up and down in 4 miles.
