Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
New Year. New roads, trails and miles. Even though I had a low key eve, I heard a big display of fireworks last night at midnight. Slept in a lot for some reason today. Its my official start date as well, but felt quite anticlimactic as its a Sunday and a holiday. Same deal with last year trying to onboard during Christmas... Anyways it works out. Hung out at home all day then decided to test myself and venture out for a run. Calf feeling better. Not a knot but kinda phantom tightness. Sleeved up and wearing shorts for first run of the year, went down Wasson to Paxton, turned at Erie to Marburg, then came back Wasson before turning on Paxton again and then coming back Erie to trace out an 8 in the streets. Comes out to be just about 4. A bunch of folks out getting their New Years resolutions on too. I took what the pace gave me and didnt stress my calves too much. Pleased with that and the opportunity to get back outside.
Essentials: Stretch, roll, pushups
Had to get on the grind to stretch and roll. Stay up on it too calves a little tight still. Pushups felt pretty good building on that. Upper body has been pretty sore as a result too.
