Exercise Type: Run
Weather: high 40s, decent
Comments:
Had a long(er) lunch today so I rolled a couple extra miles. FORGOT my trainers in CG so I ran the whole thing in my Zoom Marathoners.
Felt so-so on the run over to Amazon -- a little fast, a little tired. Did x4 strides at the amazon loop then it was go-time.
The first quarter felt labored, but I had no idea I rolled 1:17 'til I got there. Slowed it up to make it more "sustainable". Didn't look at the watch AT ALL after that: split the watch and just kept going.
Second lap felt a little better, but tiring. BIG focus was on form today: hip flex/knee ext and forward lean. It was tough to do that AND keep the effort down, so on the 3rd one, I let the breathing pattern go faster (3/4 time).
Felt pretty good, but again, definitely above "anaerobic threshold". The splits: 5:37, 5:45, 5:37.
Relatively impressive considering how SOFT the trails are right now d/t all the rain. Amazon is maybe the best of the 3; Rexius the worst.
Easy cooldown back to work. Man is it TOUGH to keep my hip flexed! Worked on that A LOT this run and this week...
